I work as a writer, editor, and content strategist in the creative services group at The MathWorks, makers of fine technical computing software and notable supporters of public radio. A lot of smart people work there. I have also worked in film and video production, the TV broadcast industry, and at Bell Labs, helping document the final AT&T UNIX release. I was Assistant Director for Jim Marszalkowski’s film Anything for Love, and First AD on Carmela Sainz de Baranda’s Magic Happens. I spend most of my spare time with my two sons and my girlfriend, and reading, taking pictures, watching British TV, and thinking about information architecture.
I took the picture at the top of the page sometime in the early 70’s. It’s a plaza in front of what was the General Motors building in Manhattan. I will assign it a Creative Commons copyright one of these days.
